Description

The academic format of the applied computer science study programme at the Senftenberg Campus is practically oriented and aimed at health technology. The MA course offers an elective area of medical computer science, in which in addition to knowledge of computer science, further fundamental knowledge of medicine and diagnostics is taught. The thematic focal points are in the areas of Medical Information Systems, methods of data analysis and modelling and image data analysis for medical diagnostics. Within the normal course of studies, project work on practical tasks from companies in the Lausitz region are integrated into the training. The thesis is usually completed in a medium-sized IT company.
