Preparatory Studies
The Faculty of Environment and Natural Sciences decides whether an applicant must take part in preparatory studies or not. The preparatory studies are obligatory for those students who have found a supervisor and fulfil certain requirements (e.g. language proficiency) but miss academic or formal requirements (e.g. a Master degree which does not completely suit our programme profile or not enough credit points).
Study period: one or two semesters
The assigned supervisor appoints suitable modules primarily from the ERM Master programme to prepare the suitable candidate for the PhD programme.
On average, 30 credits have to be studied in each semester. After the successful participation and the average grade of at least "good" (2.3), admission to the graduate studies may be granted.
