Doinita GrosuChristine Galitzi is one of the women who played an important role in the emergence of social work as a profession in Romania. However, there is little information about her life and her work is only partially known. Even her full date of birth and year of death are not yet publicly available. She is not mentioned in recent articles and books on the history of social work in Romania.

The dissertation "Bewegende Soziale Arbeit: Eine Geschichte der Sozialen Arbeit entlang der Biographie einer rumänischen Sozialarbeiterin" (Moving Social Work: A History of Social Work along the Biography of a Rumanian Social Worker) explores the biography of the sociologist and social worker Christine Galitzi along her transnational life and international work. The results should, among other things, give students a better access to reflect on their own professional identity as well as to understand the lifeworlds of future clients.
