Seminar on scientific work (11973)


In this module, students learn the principles of scientific work. Starting with the basics of epistemology, the question is "How do I get from the topic to the research question?", to the drafting of the research design and high-quality hypothesis generation. Also "soft skills" of scientific work, such as effective literature research, good citation and research, time management and self-organization are discussed in the context of the thesis.

  • MCA: 
    • Electronic exam (20 minutes), 25% of grade
    • Independent solution of a homework assignment (2 pages), 25% of grade
    • Exam (40 minutes), 50% of grade
