For 30 years, 9 million people

ERASMUS+ can make it happen!

The ERASMUS+ Programme, named after the Dutch humanist Erasmus von Rotterdam, is one of the world’s largest and well-known mobility programmes connecting over 3000 universities in 33 countries. Since 1987, ERASMUS has sponsored more than three million students across Europe, including over 450.000 German students.
In December 2013, the EU member states and the European Parliament announced a new EU-Programme for education and training as well as youth and sports that will continue the previous generation’s system of exchange. Further information on the new ERASMUS+ programme has been summarized for you within the leaflet “programme outline”.
One of the new aspects of the ERASMUS+ programme is that students can now complete one or multiple study periods or internships abroad during any phase of their degree programme (Bachelor, Master, PhD) within the European Union. These exchanges start at a minimum length of 3 months and can reach a maximum length of 12 months.
