Working in Germany After Your Studies

With a successful graduation from a German university come countless opportunities in the German job market.

The “Make it in Germany” Internet Portal

The German and English language welcome portal packages current advisory and support offers together. It shows which branches are searching for skilled workers and which prerequisites are necessary to take on a skilled worker position in Germany ("Quick-Check").

On a so-called "bottleneck job"-tailored job board, you can easily search for job offers. The interactive map "Germany On Site" contains contact information and service offers from German institutions worldwide. Additionally, advisors can inform you about searching for a flat, insurance coverage, language and integration courses, as well as German school and health systems. In the rubric "I made it", professionals share their personal experiences and give tips for a successful integration.

Under the section "Study in German - and then?" foreign students can gain information about the currently existing residence status rules and get tips on career prospects - from working in firms to founding new businesses, scientific careers, or your first job in Germany.

The welcome portal is part of the complete professional-offensive of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Federal Employment Agency.
