Legal between compliance and sustainability

On June 23, 2022, the Center for Law and Administration at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg will host the 12th Cottbus Media Law Day - this year on the topic: "Legal between Compliance and Sustainability". Registrations are possible until June 20, 2022.

With "Compliance and Sustainability," the 12th Cottbus Media Law Day will take up a topic that is becoming increasingly important in the practical everyday life of companies. It is a matter of tough legal requirements with the threat of sanctions and by no means a mere corporate image.

Using practical examples, experts from practice and academia explain the legal framework and provide answers to the following questions: How can a company determine whether and how well it is positioned with regard to compliance and the observance of legal and other normative requirements? What should a company do in the event of an obvious serious compliance violation? Using environmental law as an example, the Media Law Day will show that environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) already places high demands on companies.

The Media Law Day is aimed at lawyers, small and medium-sized enterprises, and interested parties who deal with these issues professionally or privately. This year, the event will again be supported by the law firm CMS Hasche Sigle in terms of content and personal support, among others by Prof. Dr. Marion Bernhardt and Prof. Dr. Winfried Bullinger as speakers.

This specialist event with seminar character is being held as part of the postgraduate master's program "Business Law for Technology Companies (M.B.L.)". It will take place at the Brandenburg State Museum of Modern Art in Cottbus.

The participation fee is 100.00 euros.
