End-of-the-Year Event for BTU's Young Researchers in a Cozy Atmosphere

On 2 December 2025, the BTU Welcome Centre, the Graduate Research School, and the PhD Programme Coordination once again organised an end-of-year event for young researchers at BTU and their families.

On 2 December, more than 30 young BTU researchers and their families gathered in a relaxed atmosphere to reflect on this year's successes and exchange ideas with colleagues from various departments. The event was held once again at the International Center of Academic Exchange (IBZ) – Ludwig Leichhardt House.

We were pleased to welcome Dr Johannes Staemmler from the Transformation Unit, who shared some interesting updates on the Lausitz Science Network and other projects driving economic change in our region.

To lighten the mood, there was a "How to beat ChatGPT" quiz and a Santa Claus origami competition.

This event was once again organised by the BTU Welcome Centre, the BTU Graduate Research School, and the coordination of the PhD programmes. The end-of-year event was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
