The use of renewable raw materials, the development of alternative energy sources, the efficient, clean and environmentally friendly production of chemical products, foodstuffs, construction materials, glass and ceramics, fuels and other energy sources, the development of new methods for the recycling of household waste and industrial waste, the introduction of biotechnological processes for production of pharmaceuticals - all these are challenges to our modern industrial society and at the same time important tasks for the process engineers of the future.
