The publication of the most up-to-date and target group-orientated information on the BTU homepage via various channels depending on the type, relevance and target group:
For the target groups: general public, university public, media/editorial departments
The information can be entered as current announcements or events in the university’s editorial system by the editors of the various BTU departments (Deaneries, Departments, Boards, Facilities/Institutions, Student Body, Administration). Depending on the target group, this is then published on the own website, on the intranet or the BTU homepage. The system which has been conceived for this on TYPO3 basis has been designed so that the publication on overriding pages (e.g. of the faculty or the BTU homepage) can be automatically suggested by mouse click. It is the relevant departments which are responsible for approval. For the homepage, for example, this is the Communications and Marketing team. For access to the editorial system as well as induction/training, BTU members can contact José Villegas in the multimedia centre.

Social media offers many opportunities for contacting/interacting with or informing various target groups. The BTU is represented on various social network platforms. In our Social Media Guidelines, we have summarised a few points for employees (only accessible via the intranet) to consider when working with social networks.

Those who are authorised to write/enter text are able to publish information on the university’s intranet pages as well as in the editorial system which is especially for BTU members.
