The Germany scholarship at the BTU

Become a scholarship provider

Since 2011, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg awards the Deutschlandstipendium for outstanding study achievements and social commitment at the beginning of every winter semester. In October 2018 there were a total of 282 students who could benefit from the scholarships for a semester or a year. The scholarships were in particular donated by companies or individuals from the region.

The Deutschlandstipendium is not only intended to promote good study achievements. The focus is on the overall potential of the applicant. These include extra-occupational engagement such as voluntary work, social or political commitment as well as special achievements, awards and prizes or previous employment and internships. A commission of the respective faculty is responsible for the selection process.
The scholarships are provided with 300 euros each per month, half of which is funded by the federal government and the other half by companies or institutions in the region or private individuals.
