Ph.D. A.P. Olukoya Obafemi
Ph.D. Olukoya Obafemi ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter und Dozent am Lehrstuhl für Umweltplanung der BTU Cottbus-Sneftenberg. Er promovierte in Heritage Studies an der BTU, machte einen Master in Architektur an der Cyprus International University in Zypern und einen Bachelor in Architektur an der Olabisi Onabanjo University in Nigeria.
Seine Forschungsinteressen konzentrieren sich auf die Erhaltung und Bewirtschaftung des (Welt-) Kultur- und Naturerbes im Kontext des Klimawandels. Er ist an der Lehre des Heritage Impact Assessment Module beteiligt. Er ist wissenschaftliches Mitglied des Internationalen ICOMOS-Komitees für Volksarchitektur (CIAV), der Internationalen Vereinigung für Folgenabschätzung (IAIA), der ICOMOS Nigeria, der Vereinigung für Studien zum kritischen Erbe und des Internationalen Netzwerks für traditionelles Bauen, Architektur und Städtebau (INTBAU). Er ist Alumni des Deutschen Akademischen Austauschs (DAAD).

The module focuses on Heritage Impact Assessment as “a process of identifying, predicting, evaluating and communicating the probable impacts of a current or proposed development policy or action on the cultural life, institutions and resources of communities, then integrating the findings and conclusions into the planning and decision-making process, with a view to mitigating adverse impacts and enhancing positive outcomes” (adapted based International Association of Impact Assessment - IAIA).
