Challenges of Risk Management in a War-Damaged Cultural Heritage,  the Case of Bamiyan in Afghanistan

Short Bio:

Reza obtained a BSc in Chemical Technology Engineering from Kabul Polytechnic University in 2009 and the same year he joined to the UNESCO Kabul Office where he was responsible for several projects in heritage conservation and management in Afghanistan. In 2013 he left the UNESCO and began to study the master programme of World Heritage Studies in BTU Cottbus and graduated with a Master's degree. Since 2016, he is a Ph.D. candidate at BTU in Heritage Studies, and also he is the representative of the Ph.D. candidates of Heritage Studies in the Ph.D. committee of the program.

After finishing his Ph.D., he has the plan to return to Afghanistan working with his NGO (Afghanistan Cultural Heritage Association) which he established in 2012 in the field of heritage preservation.
