Learning Outcome:In this module, the participants are enabled to understand complex texts on concrete and abstract topics and to communicate so spontaneously and fluently that a normal conversation with native speakers is possible without great effort on both sides. You will learn to express yourself clearly and in detail on a wide range of topics, to explain a point of view on a topical issue and to state the advantages and disadvantages of various options. (Compare can-do descriptions of GER B2)

Finally, the participants reflect on the culture in the English-speaking area in the context of the content conveyed and, after completing the module, will understand the basics and customs of the forms of life in the English-speaking area.
Contents:Action-oriented tasks for global, selective and detailed listening and reading comprehension, for the production of topic- and situation-related written texts, for topic- and situation-related oral expression as well as exercises for understanding and consolidating linguistic structures (vocabulary and grammar). Furthermore, learning strategies and techniques for self-study are imparted and trained.

Module English B1.2 or English language skills at level GER B1

The existing knowledge of English is checked with an entrance test at the beginning of the semester.
