Learning Outcome: | By the end of the module students are able to develop a research question within the academic field of Science and Technology Studies and create and present a research design, as well as identify and make use of appropriate sources of empirical material for your analysis, furthermore to identifiy, select and compare appropriate concepts and methods relating to an interdisciplinary research field and analyse changes in fields of science and technology with respect to knowledge forms. |
Contents: | This module presents central theories and approaches developed in Science and Technology Studies. The module focuses on questions about disciplining and undisciplining knowledge, the corresponding epistemic and ontological perspectives and the political economy of science. It explores concepts being concerned about shifting concepts of disciplinarity, such as interdisciplinarity, transdisciplinarity or postdisciplinarity. |
