Interreg: Strands A, B und C

Interreg, officially called "European Territorial Cooperation", is part of the structural and investment policy of the European Union. The Interreg programme finances transnational project with a scope on e.g. low carbon mobility, urban development, the job market, environment protection and social innovation. The funding is focussed in the three
orientation strands: Interreg-A (bilateral cooperation in neighbouring regions), Interreg-B (transnational cooperation in special areas in Europe) and Interreg Europe (formerly called InterReg-C / oriented to knowledge exchange for improving regional development and cohesion instruments).
