Simeon Onya is a PhD student at the Chair of Environmental Economics, focusing on the intersection of climate change and disaster reduction, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. His research investigates households’ preferences for flood mitigation measures in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. His purpose is to provide practical insights into how climate adaptation measures can be designed to align with community preferences to increase the effectiveness and success of adaptation policies.
