- 1997-2000: Bachelors Program at the Department of Science Education, University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
Current Job/Employer: Lecturer and Head of Examinations/University for Development Studies, Department of Environmental Science, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Navrongo.
Research Interest: My research interest focusses on identifying solutions to the crucial issues of water availability and quality especially in semi-arid regions in the face of a changing climate, and to inform policy formulation for sustainable management of this key natural resource.
Future career plans: To develop acceptable decentralized close-to-nature method for domestic wastewater treatment that provides an all win situation for households and small communities. Also, to apply proven techniques such as Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) for water storage for the purpose domestic and agricultural use.

What will you remember most of your time at BTU Cottbus and in the PhD Programme ERM?
The very serene and beautiful nature of the campus especially in summer always gave me a feeling of satisfaction and joy. In addition, the compact nature of the campus and the bus service make it very easy to connect from one building to the other and also to get to the main train station within a short time. For the PhD programme, I enjoyed the weekly PhD Seminar due to its very interactive nature and also that it offers the PhD students an opportunity to meet and share ideas in the various areas of research.
What advice to you have for prospective PhD candidates at BTU Cottbus?
BTU is an ideal place for PhD study and also that you can complete your study on time. The professors are always available and excited to help. Just make sure to book an appointment. As a student, all what you need is to ensure that you always stay focussed on your study.
