Quantum-Mechanical Modeling of Cognitive Agents

Abstract

We investigate the use of algebraic structures inspired by quantum field theory for modeling the perception-action cycle and, particularly, the behavior controller of artificial cognitive systems. Our current work focuses on modeling the (relevant) state of the world, system actions, attention, coping and fantasy, and on automatic inference of useful ontologies structuring the system’s knowledge about the world.
