Field of research

Chefor is a wildlife ecologist. He holds a MSc. in Environmental and Natural Resources Management and a B.Sc. in Zoology from the University of Dschang, Cameroon. He has taken part in several surveys to map the distribution of the Nigerian-Cameroon chimpanzee in the North-West region of Cameroon. He is a PhD student at the Department of Ecology, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg since April 2017 and he is currently researching on the ecology and behavior of the Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzee in the North-West region of Cameroon. His research interests are: ecology and behaviour of diurnal primates, population dynamics of monkeys, human-wildlife conflicts and the abundance and distribution of antelopes.
