Research interest

I work as a research fellow in the ecology department on the SEBAS project. The aim of the project is to preserve biodiversity in intensively used agricultural landscapes or to increase it again in the medium term by creating agroforestry structures. The focus of my research is on the abundance and species composition of ground beetles (Coleoptera, Fam. Carabidae) and the possible resulting changes in ecosystem services due to the combination of different habitats. A further focus is on the analysis of decomposer performance regarding the microclimatic efficiency gradient in agroforestry areas.
