Financial Support for Erasmus+ Internships

The Erasmus+ Programme provides its participants with a monthly contribution to the higher costs of living abroad. However this allowance will not cover the living expenses completely. Therefore you should check early how to finance your stay abroad. Detailed Information on finding and preparing your internship abroad, BAföG abroad and other financing options can be found on the website of the DAAD: https://www.daad.de/ausland/praktikum/de/

What is funded?

Students and graduates receive...

  • destination-dependent, financial grants for their internship stay,
  • academic recognition of the internship,
  • support in the preparation and implementation of the stay abroad (cultural, linguistic, organizational),
  • possibly an online language course funded by Erasmus+ as part of the Online Language Support (OLS)
  • possibly special grants for special needs Sonderzuschüsse für besondere Bedürfnisse.
  • if applicable, grant for the use of sustainable means of transport,  ERASMUS+ Green Travel.
