Building on a sound training in engineering, specialized core skills in this scientific field are taught in the Biomedical Engineering programme. The applied undergraduate education combines the teaching of theoretical content with practical application in medical laboratories. Students work on current topics as part of various development projects. In the practical phase of the seventh semester, students can apply the broad knowledge and skills acquired over the course of their studies through work in medical technology companies, research institutions and clinics.

Professional Fields of Activity

  • Development and production of medical technical products, rehabilitation agents and other specialized equipment.
  • Development and implementation of concepts for technical equipment for patient and therapy rooms
  • Work in practical facilities such as clinics, rehabilitation and training centres Planning and production of disabled workplaces and workshops
