Computer-aided design in the student university

Under the guidance of academic staff members Michael Weist and Stephan Hernschier, participants learn the basics of modeling 3D components, as well as all the necessary steps up to the printed model.

Ideas for new products, components or technologies become reality through the use of modern CAD software. CAD (computer-aided design) stands for computer-aided design. The corresponding software enables the creation of a digital, three-dimensional model and thus also the production of the component, for example with a 3D printer.

About the Student University at BTU Cottbus-SenftenbergThe Student University offers interested students in grades 7 to 13 the opportunity to understand scientific and technical topics. It is intended to awaken a desire for discovery and research. This gives them the chance to develop their own skills and expand their talents.
