Brandenburg Women's Week 2023: "Not with us after all!"

The motto of the 33rd Brandenburg Women's Week is "Not with us!" and calls for opposing discrimination, increasing the visibility of women in all areas of life and celebrating their diversity.

On the occasion of the Brandenburg Women's Week, the Equal Opportunity Office of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg publishes a video recording of the lecture by Lina Knorr (FU Berlin) on the topic: "Sexualized discrimination and violence (also) at universities? How to deal with it?", which took place in the context of the Action Days against Violence 2022 and deals with a topic that is still far too often taboo: sexualized discrimination and violence in the context of universities. In her presentation, Lina Knorr clearly states that these are a major problem at German universities. In the project "#UniToo? Sexualized Harassment, Discrimination and Violence at Berlin Universities", she and Tanja Wälty investigated the phenomenon of sexualized harassment, discrimination and violence at Berlin universities both at the level of the actors and at the organizational level of the universities. She will present the results of her survey, as well as other studies on the topic, in this 30-minute lecture.

All events in the context of the 33rd Brandenburg Women's Week can be found on the websites of the Frauenpolitischer Rat Land Brandenburg e.V. and for Cottbus and the surrounding area on the website of the city of Cottbus.
