Grand Finale of STAR*PARADE at BTU

STAR*PARADE is a regional pitch event that is the result of close cooperation between several regional players in the start-up scene, including Startup Lausitz, Wirtschaftsinitiative Lausitz (WiL) and the BTU projects Startup Community, COLab, Startup Service, Lausitz Science Park and Energy Innovation Centrer (EIZ). The event is a further development of the well-known Lausitzer Existenzgründungswettbewerb (LEX).

Almost 80 entrepreneurs, idea holders and founders have registered to pitch in the ten different categories: Pupils, Students & Researchers, Innovation & Sustainability, Crafts, Services & Trade, Gastronomy & Tourism, Health & Social Affairs, Cultural & Creative Industries and Digitalisation. The first pitches have been taking place at various locations in Lusatia since July.

At the finale on 19 September, the expert juries will announce the winners in each category. There are three prize categories to be won: LAUSITZ*STAR (winners of the pitch rounds in the individual categories), SHOOTING*STAR (determined by digital voting by the audience) and LUCKY*STAR (determined by drawing lots). A networking event will take place after the awards ceremony.
