SUMMARY: Cottbus Welcome Party - KLĔB A SOL
DESCRIPTION:With music, hands-on activities and real encounters, an afternoon full of diversity and joie de vivre is created - a festival that connects and shows: There is room here for everyone who wants to make new contacts or deepen old acquaintances. Because they have one thing in common: Cottbus is the city they want to stay in.\nThe name KLĔB A SOL, Sorbian/Wendish for "bread and salt", stands for a living ritual of welcome and symbolises our city, which is open to new ideas, people and perspectives. The welcome party builds on this and creates space for real encounters - right in the heart of our city.\nWhy is this important? Cottbus is undergoing a transformation - on its way to becoming a region of science and the future. This transformation requires not only new jobs, but also a real sense of togetherness. KLĔB A SOL is an expression of this attitude: a sign of openness, an experience for all generations - and an invitation to become part of this city.\n"After the successful kick-off last year, I am very happy that we are now entering the second round. We have realised that many people have seized the opportunity to come together and celebrate at the KLĔB A SOL welcome party. The party stands for diversity and togetherness. Take the opportunity for great encounters and show how open and lively our beautiful city is." - Tobias Schick, Lord Mayor of Cottbus/Chóśebuz\nThe varied programme ranges from a meeting mile with hands-on activities, clubs and companies to a table football tournament and an open-air concert with DJ and the band The Soul Squires. The stage programme will be presented by the "Wacher Machern" from Radio Cottbus.\nKLĔB A SOL is supported by a strong community: organisers are the Cottbus City Marketing Association, the City of Cottbus/ Chóśebuz, the Cottbus Economic Development Corporation (EGC), the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, the Cottbus Welcome Centre, the Cottbus Chamber of Crafts, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB), the BTU Student Council and Citimanagement Cottbus. The media partner is Radio Cottbus.\nA big thank you also goes to the institutions and companies that make the festival financially possible. KLĔB A SOL is also funded by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building as part of the federal programme "Sustainable Inner Cities and Centres (ZIZ)".\nBTU program items on the meeting mile\nCOCO explores Cottbus As part of the “COCO - Commoning Cottbus” teaching project, an open space will be created for the first time to serve as a meeting place for students, residents and interested parties. COCO - Commoning Cottbus\nIntroducing the digital pioneers The teaching project, which is being carried out in cooperation with the association M2B e.V., will be presented as part of Kleb a Sol. The aim of the Digital Pioneers project is to bridge the digital divide between the generations. Dual career & family orientation\nClimate-neutral Lusatia 2040 - build your idea and place it on our large Lusatia map Ideas for climate-neutral Lusatia 2040 can be built with the help of small Lego sets. The finished small works are then placed on a large Lusatia map. Energy Innovation Center\nFabLab-Cottbus show window The special thing about the FabLab is that we share machines and help members to master them. Here you can work with wood and metals, as well as laser cutting, 3D printing and tinkering with electronics. FabLab Cottbus e.V.\nElectrical engineering workshop At our stand we offer the soldering together of small electronic circuits, for example a running light. We will also be exhibiting an electrical machine.  Our aim is to promote the technical degree courses at BTU. Student Council Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering\nInformation stand Free Radio for Cottbus and Lusatia Free Radio Cottbus is a new participative media project: Cottbus citizens - including newcomers - can learn how to make radio and create their own radio programs. Heritage Studies Student Council University sports presentation You can try out games of skill, balancing and throwing games, jumping boxes, can throwing, ladder golf and the wheel of fortune at the University Sports stand. Central university sports facility\nViCtoR, the cooperative robot ViCtoR is a cooperative robot against which humans can compete in a game of four-in-a-row. An AI plans the strategic moves, while ViCtoR physically executes the AI's moves. MDZ and EDIH pro_digital | Chair of Automation Technology\nLanguage translation challenge Solve a translation challenge to take part in a great competition and get to know the Language Center. Central Language Center\nThe student council The StuRa of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg introduces itself and its work. Come by and get to know us! StuRa\nWhat does the AI think when it paints a picture? Here you can experience how an image - for example of an action figure - is generated step by step.
