SUMMARY:The social economy at a crossroads? Crises, frustration and new beginnings in times of upheaval
DESCRIPTION:The social economy and social services constitute a significant sector of the economy and employment. They encompass the fields of health and care, certain areas of education, as well as social counselling, support and care. Through the services and support they provide, they help to safeguard essential public services, promote social cohesion and ensure equal living conditions.\nIn the face of tight public finances, the need for welfare state reforms, and social and economic changes, the social sector is under pressure.\nWhat current challenges to the social economy do people who work in it – whether as entrepreneurs or as professionals – identify? How do they deal with them?\nIn the chair of Social Services for Structurally Weak Regions, we are examining these challenges as part of the project “Failure in the Social Economy” and would like to engage in dialogue based on the findings from this research project.\nEvent poster
