For the second year in a row, the number of applications for the winter semester at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) rose sharply to 7,700, 900 more than in the previous year. For the first time since 2019, around 2,000 young people enrolled at BTU this year.

The university has set a new milestone in the cooperation between the EUNICE universities with a groundbreaking premiere of the Staff Week on "Intercultural Communication and Competencies" at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. Representatives from a total of 8 of the 10 partner universities met in Cottbus for a week full of exchange and learning.

We want to investigate this question together with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and cordially invite all students at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg to take part in a nationwide student survey. Participation is possible until 19 January 2024.

In rural areas in particular, shrinkage and demographic change are coming up against the rapidly advancing requirements of the transformation towards a climate-neutral and digital society. Older people, in particular, are affected in the areas of public services, health, care and agriculture. This poses major challenges for local stakeholders.

The application phase for the 2024 summer semester has started at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). The application portals are open. Prospective students with both German and international higher education entrance qualifications can currently submit their applications for the semester starting on April 1, 2024.

An expression of interest in participating in the Spring School "Research Data Management" from February 26 to March 1, 2024 is now possible for students at Brandenburg universities.
