Preserving biodiversity in agriculture

In the project "Stabilising and increasing biodiversity and ecosystem services on agricultural land by creating diverse agroforestry land use structures (SEBAS)", scientists at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg are researching how biodiversity can be preserved in intensively used agricultural landscapes and increased again in the medium term

Open BTU: Lecture evening "Why I won't give up hope"

Open BTU at the zoo: Cottbus hums and buzzes - small helpers, big impact

The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is once again taking part in Cottbus Environment Week as part of its Open BTU public lecture series on Wednesday, 21 May 2025 at 5:30 pm. The speakers will be Prof. Dr Klaus Birkhofer, head of the Chair of Ecology at the university, and Sven Hoffmann, board chairperson of the Cottbus Beekeepers' Association.
