Cultural sciences Discover the study programmes

In 1972, the book The Limits to Growth was published, in which computer simulations point to the dangers of an unrestrained consumption of natural resources. The report by the Club of Rome, known in Germany as "Die Grenzen des Wachstums", is one of the main impulses for the sustainability debate. This classic has inspired many people to think and it provides a base literature for the students who are to deal with questions of social science in the context of engineering and technologies - exactly what BTU students do in the field of culture and technology. In their studies, they also deal with questions of how technologies can provide solutions, which implications may be taken into account in new dangers, or how culture and technology influence each other.
