- The BTU Startup Service supports those interested in founding a company at Brandenburg universities in the pre-startup phase and advises them on all questions relating to startup suitability, coaching and qualification, as well as on how to take advantage of the EXIST Business Start-up Grant and EXIST Transfer of Research funding programs of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection.
- The BTU Startup Community explicitly serves to network and support the regional startup ecosystem through event, communication and networking formats. These are realized in cooperation with regional advisory services, stakeholders, supporters and multipliers, all of whom contribute to advancing startups.
- Since its inauguration on October 15, 2021, the BTU has already been represented by the CreativeOpenLab (COLab) in STARTBLOCK B2. The COLab pursues the goal of transforming highly innovative ideas into products, application-ready technologies or processes, thereby inspiring and supporting the university's own as well as the regional startup scene.
By moving the BTU's startup and transfer projects into STARTBLOCK B2, stronger synergy effects will be generated for the benefit of Lusatia as a region undergoing structural change.
