Digital BTU health week "Fit together" 15.03.-19.03.2021

We cordially invite all employees and students to this year's digital BTU health week from 03/15/2021 to 03/19/2021. Let yourself be informed online for a week under the motto “Fit together” and motivated to adopt a healthy lifestyle. You can expect workshops and courses on the following topics: back health, stress management, children's sports, dance, healthy sleep, yoga and meditation, as well as the opportunity for individual consultations on heart health and nutrition. You will find all other important information in the flyer "Digital Health Week".

Please note that for some offers you have to register in advance via gesundheitsmanagement(at)b-tu.de.

03/15/2021 - Healthy back & children's sports

9.15 a.m. Opening of the digital health week

9.30 a.m. - 10.30 a.m .: Back fit in everyday office life (AOK)

In this workshop you will receive numerous health tips and active exercises to improve your back health in the office and home office.

11 a.m.-12 p.m. University Community and Health

Get to know the health-promoting offers and working groups of the BTU and take part in the following 4 discussion rounds on the topics of bike-friendly BTU, commission for conflict prevention / confidants, university sports and healthy working conditions.

5: 00-5: 30 p.m .: Children's sports (Christin Barsig)

As in the small so in the large. Movement is important from the start and brings a lot of joy. Let us train your mobility and coordination with your loved ones to great children's music. This is where mom, dad, grandma and grandpa work up a sweat.

March 16, 2021 - Stroke & Heart Attack Prevention

9.00-10.00 a.m .: Stroke & heart attack prevention (Medi Fit Vital Fitness & Health Center)

Stroke and heart disease, along with cancer, are the leading causes of death. What are their triggers? How can you identify warning signs and react correctly? What can you actively do to prevent these diseases? You will get the answers in this lecture.

10.00-11.00 a.m .: Cognition training (BARMER) (Group 1: 10.00-10.30 a.m., Group 2: 10.30-11.00 a.m.)

In order for our brain to remain efficient, our nerve cells must be trained. Set yourself different movement tasks and train your cognitive skills with lots of fun. IMPORTANT: Have 2 packs of tissues ready for training.

11.15 a.m. - 12.00 p.m .: Eat the right brain food for more concentration (BARMER)

Diet in everyday life is a major challenge for many working people. In this lecture you will find out how your food affects your mental performance and how brain food helps you in everyday work. You will receive tips for smart snacking without regrets.

12 noon-4 p.m .: 30 min. Individual consultation with Herzcoach (BARMER)

- registration required How old is your heart really and how do small changes in lifestyle have a positive effect on the age of your heart? You will find out with the interactive software for risk assessment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases and a detailed report of results.

3.30pm-4.30pm: Yoga at work (Marina Clarke)

Yoga in the office is fun, innovative and relaxing. Learn easy yoga poses that you can do at your desk at any time. With regular use, physical pain, tiredness and tension will soon be a thing of the past. You strengthen your muscles, become more flexible and improve your quality of life.

03/17/2021 - Coping with stress, mindfulness

9.00-10.00 a.m .: Balance in everyday life (AOK)

Today is changing rapidly and demands a lot of self-organization and discipline from us. In order to counteract the permanent stress, the workshop offers various ideas to replenish your own reserves. The aim is to reflect on your own stressors and to promote self-awareness.

10.30-11.00 a.m .: Lightning relaxation (AOK)

In the half-hour workshop you will learn about relaxation exercises for body and mind that lead to physical and mental well-being.

11 am-12pm: University community and health

3 p.m. - 4 p.m .: Dance yourself happy (TanzWERKSTATT, Ioannis Avakoumidis)

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul.” - Martha Graham- Learn to forget everyday stress with easy dance steps and to recharge your batteries.

03/18/2021 - Healthy nutrition

9.00-10.00 a.m .: Through thick and thin - balanced nutrition for the intestines (TK)

The intestine is the most important part of the digestive tract and plays a major role in our health. The importance of the intestinal flora, the influence of diet and chronic intestinal diseases, rounded off with tips for a healthy intestine, are central topics of this lecture.

10.30-11.30 a.m .: Meal prep - easy preparation in the evening (TK)

 What is meal prep and how does it work? What are the pros and cons? Learn more about the importance of eating and drinking in everyday working life, as well as tips and tricks for preparing meals.

1 p.m .-- 5 p.m .: 20 min. Nutritional advice individual coaching (TK) - registration required

Do you have a question that arose from the nutrition lectures? Or would you like to clarify your individual nutritional situation? - We offer you 20 minute individual appointments.

3.30 p.m. - 4.30 p.m .: Body fit (Catharina Buchenau)

Do something good. With this workout you train your entire body with everyday exercises. The aim is to promote and challenge your own body while having fun. Sports gear is necessary here.

March 19, 2021 - Healthy sleep & relaxation

9.00-10.00 a.m .: Skilfully switch off and fall asleep (AOK)

Everyone knows stressful situations that can deprive you of sleep. In this workshop you will learn how to create conscious relaxation with the help of progressive muscle relaxation in such moments.

10.30 a.m.-12.00 p.m .: Guided meditation (Arielle Kohlschmidt)

Give yourself your time and let yourself be refueled with life energy through a live guided meditation. Experience a deep calm, contentment and relaxation.
