Due to the ongoing war in Syria which continues to threaten the rich architectural and urban heritge of Aleppo and with view to the possibility of future incompatible developments in this historic city, the project of Aleppo Archive in Exile was outlined in response ot the urgent need for documentation of the pre-war urban structure of the Old City of Aleppo. As a result, the Map of The Old City of Aleppo was generated in 2016 and made available to public to be applied as a base tool for post-war urban reconstruction processes.
