After Your Arrival
The Welcome Centre would like to welcome you and your family to Cottbus and Senftenberg. Unfortunately, there are many bureaucratic matters that must be dealt with during the first few days after your arrival. The Welcome Centre is here to support you in any way that we can, and, in fact, you can already schedule an appointment with the Welcome Centre before you even depart from your home country. You can of course also just stop by during our office hours as well. But first, you should relax and recover from your journey.
SERVICE
At the Welcome Centre, you can find additional information about some of your most important concerns:
- Registration with the City Administration Office (Stadtbüro)
- Signing your work contract
- Health insurance
- Opening a bank account
- Finding proper childcare or schooling
- As well as many other administrative issues
At the Welcome Centre, you will also receive a Welcome Package that includes important information regarding to your stay at BTU and life in Cottbus and Senftenberg.
