Online Workshop: Go International! Academic Writing in English

Kursbereich 3: »Wissenschaftliche Methoden«

Content

This workshop offers structured and pragmatic training in academic English for researchers from all academic fields. You will get first-hand experience in academic English through guided instructions, analysis and active writing, and thus develop strategies for competent and successful publications in English.

The workshop is divided into four modules: Module I illustrates the features of good academic English; Module II demonstrates how to turn English into a useful research tool; Module III applies the principles of good academic English to your own texts; Module IV is dedicated to revising and fine-tuning your texts in partnerwork and in exchange with me.

At the end of the workshop, you will have produced a revised text in academic English, expanded your understanding of its formal conventions and received further instructions for honing your writing skills. I will receive text samples from you two weeks in advance.
