Professor Dr. oec. habil. Jan Schnellenbach holds the Chair of Microeconomics at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. He has completed his Habilitation at Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg with research on "Papers on Public Economics and Economic Policy", and received his Doctorate at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Before coming to Cottbus, he has been a senior researcher at the Walter Eucken Institut in Freiburg. He is particularly interested in theoretical models in political economics and behavioral economics, and in applied empirical research in these fields. Prof. Schnellenbach shall mainly supervise dissertation topics in the focus areas 3 and 4.
