Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Rheidt is the head of the chair Building History at the Faculty of Architecture, civil Engineering and urban Planning at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. He received his Doctorate at the Faculty of Architecture at Universität Karlsruhe, with the topic “The Byzantine residential city of Pergamon”. He has a rich experience in the field of Building History and Archaeology, due to his long cooperation with the German Archaeological Institute (DAI). His research interest is mainly focused on building history of monuments and cities. Prof. Rheidt shall mainly supervise research dissertations within the focus area 1.
