Learning Outcome:Students will get the basics in grid calculation as well as an overview about the methods of calculation for short-circuit currents and power flow.
Contents:
  • Symmetrical and asymmetrical three-phase system
  • Transformation methods with focus on symmetrical components
  • Neutral point treatment
  • Symmetrical impedances and equivalent circuits
  • Calculation of asymmetrical fault currents
  • Nodal voltage method
  • Mesh-current method
  • Overview about software solutions in the field of grid calculation
  • Diverse exercises for manual calculations for given grid layouts
Recommended Prerequisites:Module 11192 "Medium- and Low-Voltage Technology"
