Learning Outcome:PhD students shall develop the capacity to further develop their own research by preparing a grant proposal. Hereby, they learn to identify contacts and build networks to funding institutions and organizations that are of relevance for institutionalizing their research. PhD students shall develop the sensitivity for the importance of the national and international reputation of the IGS Heritage Studies as well as responsibility for the development of their respective IGS research area.
Contents:PhD Students become familiar with funding institutions and their goals, contents, methods, which are relevant for the further development of heritage studies. To this end, they prepare grant proposals which represent the focus areas of the IGS Heritage Studies and contribute to its positioning in the scientific community.

  • Seminar / 2 Hours per Week per Semester
  • Self organised studies / 150 Hours
Teaching Materials and Literature:Will be announced at the beginning of the seminar.
Module Examination:Continuous Assessment (MCA)
Assessment Mode for Module Examination:Preparation of a grant proposal that contribute to the development of the research of the PhD Students and the IGS Heritage Studies at the same time.

- Interim Presentation/s on the subject (20 % of the grade)
- Grant Proposal (80 % of the grade)
- Submitting a Grant Proposal by the end of teaching period (February)
