Learning Outcome:The students have in-depth knowledge of the project processes in the construction and organisation of the operation of power plants. They are able to carry out maintenance planning and damage analysis of power plants according to scientific theories.
Contents:
  • Basics of testing methods and approval processes (e.g. Federal Immission Control Act - Bundes-Imissionsschutzgesetz; environmental impact assessment act - Umweltverträglichkeitsprüfungs (UVP)-Gesetz, engineering rules)
  • Organisation der settlement of the project while the construction of energy supply plants (owner model, general contractor model and full construction project design services)
  • Structure of planning performances (contracts)
  • Planning stages of a project (concept, draw, detail and practical plan)
  • Operation (start up and shutdown, load changes, load rating, isolated operation)
  • Maintenance of energy supply plants, influence of process parameter on operation and maintenance
  • Damage analysis and analysis of breakdowns
  • Stochastic validation, validation of reliability with characteristic parameter, breakdown distribution, availability and weak point analysis
