Contents: | The topic and presentation are from the fields of electrodynamics, physical electronics, radio frequency engineering, and plasma science (e.g., interaction of electromagnetic radiation with matter), including:
- Electromagnetic radiation
- Phenomenology of light propagation in matter
- Interaction of light and matter
- Magnetic phenomena, constitutive relations, and plasmas
- Quantum description of absorption, emission, and light scattering
- Spectroscopy
- Optical cavities, stability, lasers
- Nonlinear optics
- Fiber optics and optical communication systems
