Learning Outcome:The master thesis in architecture demonstrates the profound knowledge in advanced, in-depth and specialized, scientific methods and practice-relevant specialist knowledge and skills. Further vital qualifications of the prospective architect, such as the ability to work in a team, presentation skills and free speech, are relevant to the examination to prove that the candidate can methodically process a typical task of the architect.
The successful defence of the master thesis concludes the consecutive architecture phase. Finally, it is proven that the necessary competencies have been imparted that candidates need to understand the context of their subject, to have the ability to apply scientific methods and findings critically, to work creatively and independently in design and have acquired the necessary in-depth professional knowledge.

The presentation result of the master thesis consists of drawing / graphic services and models/objects and/or written explanations/calculations, as well as texts that are necessary to understand the work. The study time is one semester. In the master thesis, the candidate should show whether he or she has the necessary scientific competence, has an overview of the contexts of specialist knowledge in architecture, can apply scientific methods and findings critically, to work independently in design and whether the candidate has acquired the thorough specialist knowledge necessary for the transition to professional practice.
