Learning Outcome:Foreign operations and cooperation with foreign partners and companies are increasingly gaining importance. The participants are able to become familiar with the respective national building
regulations. They know the legal bases, which are relevant for their plans and drafts, to act for foreign clients. The participants gain more knowledge about the fundamental problems of international contract law.
Contents:The modul gives an insight into the international field of workof planners and architects. The focus is on the comparison of national planning laws and building regulations of different states.
The students gain basic knowledge for working abroad by giving them insight into different legal systems and planning systems. They are able to handle with divergent legislation and national standards. In order to conclude a contract abroad or with cross-border implications it needs to clarify which law is applicable to the contract. This is the subject of Private International Law.Other topics are developments in European law as well as European directives and requirements, which are important for planning and construction.
Recommended Prerequisites:knowledge of Englich
Mandatory Prerequisites:No successful participation in module 21501 Internationales Bau- und Planungsrecht.
