Learning Outcome: | The module "Design Studio Project III" deepens the understanding of the complex challenges of cities and their built environment on the basis of its practical and research relevance. Students develop the ability to apply innovative and context-sensitive architectural solutions to adapt existing environments to today's needs and to ensure integration that respects and enhances the cultural significance of the context. To this end, skills in communication, teamwork, independent project coordination, creativity and research-based learning are deepened and trained. |
Contents: | The projects are offered as design projects and are carried out in teamwork. The Director of Studies organises the respective project offer, which is presented to the students in good time and from which they can choose. In the projects, students deepen their ability to analyse urban design problems in existing neighbourhoods, to work on them conceptually in a team within a given time frame and to develop possible design solutions. The focus is on the design process based on current urban planning challenges, with the content of the module being proposed by the individual subject areas. The topics of the projects are orientated towards current issues and open up opportunities for cooperation with practice. They vary from semester to semester and deal with urban planning and architectural issues based on specific spatial tasks. |
