Faculty 1 - Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology
|
| Responsible Staff Member: | -
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. habil. Ndip, Ivan
|
| Language of Teaching / Examination: | English |
| Duration: | 1 semester |
| Frequency of Offer: |
Every winter semester
|
| Credits: |

|
| Learning Outcome: | After successfully completing the module, students will be able to model, simulate and analyze simple arrays of an antenna configuration using a 3D field solver (e.g. Ansys HFSS). They will also be able to create layouts of the antenna arrays and perform both S-parameter and radiation pattern measurements.
|
| Contents: | - Practical design and layout of an antenna array, selected from the antenna configurations in the module “Antennas II”.
- Investigation of the impact of the geometrical parameters of an antenna array and substrate materials on the characteristics of the array using a 3D field solver
- S-parameter and radiation pattern measurements
- Documentation of results
