23442 - New Technologies in Reinforced Concrete Design Modulübersicht

Module Number: 23442 - Phase-out Module
Module Title:New Technologies in Reinforced Concrete Design
  Neue Technologien für bewehrte Betonkonstruktionen
Department: Faculty 6 - Architecture, Civil Engineering and Urban Planning
Responsible Staff Member:
  • Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bleicher, Achim
Language of Teaching / Examination:English
Duration:1 semester
Frequency of Offer: Every semester
Credits: 6
Learning Outcome:Knowledge
Getting well known with new construction materials and techniques, especially concerning
concrete. Prefabrication is an idustrialized process with a large potential for the future. The
construction industy requires a wide choice in the selection of building components. The
seminar is intended to fill the gap by providing a detailed review of the subject.

Application

Application of basic knowledge of concrete materials to high strength concretes and concrete
mixtures with additional capabilities. Application of these concretes in prefabrication.

Abilities
Transfer of research results into rules/codes for design. Modification of existing rules to
materials with different or extended properties
Contents:Prefabrication
Structural precast systems; production, transport and erection; standards concerning prefabrication,
bearing walls, skeletal systems, precast floors, corbels, stabilizing systems, connections

Design of High-Tec composits

Water impermeable concretes; fibre concretes and industrial floors, light weight concretes, ultra high
strength concretes, reinforcing with laminates
