Learning Outcome: | Students will get an understanding of the wind energy market and the key variables influencing the economics of a wind farm. They will learn and practice, what is necessary to evaluate the wind resource, prepare a viable business case, build a financial model and select a suitable funding mix. |

Recommended Prerequisites: | None explicitly required. However, students with a prior knowledge of basic financial compounding and discounting methods will have an advantage. |

Teaching Materials and Literature: | Students will be provided with a reader as well as the slides and material presented in class. Lessons will to a large extent be case-based and application-oriented. There is no book or text which covers the entire content taught in this module. The reader will contain a collection of the papers used in the course. |
