Learning Outcome: | This is an introductory module in sociology designed to suit the special needs of ERM students. The objective of the module is to convey a basic understanding of sociological thought and the methods used in social sciences. The module is also designed to provide an overview of environmental sociology and a profound understanding of the potential and limitations of the various approaches. The module shall enable students to analyze social relations and identify their impact upon areas or issues significant to their work. It provides students with the analytical tools to creatively deal with problems resulting from social relations. |
