The next Spring Academy of the IRS will take place in May 2024. The topic of the international conference is »Transdiciplinarity and Social Science Spatial Research«. PhD students and postdocs can apply until 10 March 2024.

The Viadrina Mentoring and Coaching Programme for doctoral candidates and postdocs (women, trans*, inter* and non-binary people) starts again in March at the European University Viadrina. Applications can be submitted until 15 February 2024.

Rudi Tschammer has been pursuing his doctorate since the beginning of 2023 in the BTU-BAM Graduate School »Trustworthy Hydrogen«. His master's thesis has now been honored by the Physical Society of Berlin e.V.

Until 22 September 2023, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers can still apply for a GRS mobility grant for conference attendances and short research stays in 2023.

The Unit for Young Academics is currently surveying all doctoral researchers at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg on the topics of conditions for doctoral studies, career development during and after the doctoral phase, and their personal life situation during this exciting time of qualification.

The summer school will take place from 11–15 September 2023 at BTU. The first registration period will close on 21 July 2023. The second registration period will be open from 14–30 August 2023. This year, the summer school focuses on the topic of »Sensors und Sensor Materials«

Dr Sparsh Sharma received a three-year scholarship from GRS in the cluster »Stochastic Methods for Flow and Transport Processes« for his doctoral research. Following the completion of his doctorate, he secured funding from the Walter Benjamin Programme of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and embarked on a six-month research stay at a leading university in the UK.

From July 10 to 14, 2023, the REUNICE network is organising its first summer school for doctoral students from partner universities. The main focus will be on the topic of Sustainability & Digitalisation. Applications are open until June 30.
